DeVaughn Realty, LLC was licensed in 2000 to sell real estate in Georgia. Since that time, the company has been active in the Athens, Georgia market. DeVaughn Realty is a full service office. However, we specialize in residential sales (see testimonials). The agents are available seven days a week. DeVaughn Realty is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, Georgia Association of Realtors®, Athens Area Association of Realtors® and Classic Multiple Listing Service. Shirley was licensed as a Realtor® in Georgia in 1984 and has been the Broker for DeVaughn Realty since 2000. She is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She was an elementary school teacher for 20 years in Montezuma, Georgia. Shirley is a member of Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) and holds a Realtor® Instructor’s License. She will give you professional assistance and guidance. Shirley enjoys reading and spending time with her 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

Malcom DeVaughn,

Mal moved to Athens in 1982 to attend the University of Georgia. While at UGA, he majored in Political Science and was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Mal opened Bulldog Cleaners and Laundromat for seven years (1991-1998) off Baxter Street. Soon after he sold his business, Mal obtained his real estate license and shortly thereafter, he and Shirley DeVaughn formed DeVaughn Realty.
Mal enjoys all sports, hiking and camping in the North Georgia Mountains, snow skiing and has a passion for travel. He is also an active Seller with Ebay since 1998 and enjoys researching items for sale for himself and others. He is a season ticket holder for UGA basketball and loves attending the games. He lives in West Athens with his fiancé and their 4 dogs and cat. An animal lover, Mal has fostered dogs in the past. Mal is a go-getter and will take all the time you need with your real estate transactions.
